Doing Yule

Christmas with chemo. Not exactly the combination one normally wishes for the holiday, but in this case not as bad as it might have been. We had a little breakfast across from the tree, then opened gifts, and basked for a bit in the materialistic carnage. Then we packed up the truck and headed over the river and through the woods to spend most of the day with my partner's family. I was at the end of a chemo cycle, so I wasn't feeling particularly bad, just frequently tired and run down. But as sitting down was the order of the day for most activities (opening gifts, having dinner, and so on), it wasn't too taxing.

Two days later, more intensive chemo started up again.
