This is the city

Blue skiesIt's a fair, sunny day in Seattle. Which means a perfect opportunity to run down to the local grocery for some freshly made teriyaki and spicy chicken lunch. Unfortunately, I'll be taking it back to my desk to eat. But at least I get a few minutes of sunshine!

RSS: Real Sad about Syndication

Kordless KeysI do most of my blogging on Live Journal. I use Live Journal's RSS for my blog (which is more of a tumble log, really) to post entries to multiple different locations, including Tumblr.com, the blog attached to my profile on Tribe.net, and last but most certainly not least, the Notes section of my profile on Facebook.

Unfortunately, Blogger is not one of those locations. Blogger will give you an RSS feed to syndicate its entries, but it isn't capable of receiving and posting incoming feeds. Which I find annoying. Blogger is nice, but lacks the features I like about Live Journal (such as filtering for friends or special lists). Consequently, I have to manually update this site by copying and pasting (and sometimes modifying) posts from my Live Journal blog. What a pain.

By the way, if anyone reading this is on Facebook, please feel free to add me as a friend! My name there is Bucephalus Alexander. Facebook has a lot of fun features, including micro-blogging (short status updates that can be sent as text messages to your cell).
