Better straight than never

Except for some stylistic anomalies in the 80s, I have always had straight hair. Fine, limp, lacking in body. Boring. Then came chemo, as I documented in earlier entries. I was bald for way longer than I wanted, but when the hair finally came back — surprise! — it was curly. I loved it! For two whole months all I had to do was wash and go. Easy to take care of, and great looking too. My guy could run his fingers through the soft curls without getting any product on hands. And I never had to worry about it getting messed up.

But the joy of curly hair was short lived. I got a haircut today and all the curls ended up on the floor. I guess the chemical transformation got out of my system sooner than expected. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. Pass the hair gel, please.
